The Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, today announced the launch of its dedicated Vascular and Endovascular surgery OPD services in partnership with the Holy Heart Hospital in Rohtak.
The OPD services will be available on 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, between 11am to 1pm. Dr Achintya Sharma, Senior Consultant – Vascular & Endovascular Surgery- Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, will provide expert consultations to patients suffering from peripheral artery disease (PAD) or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and Non-healing wounds.
Dr Achintya Sharma said, “People often visit to us with symptoms like leg pain, swelling, coldness, non-healing wounds, abdominal or back pain, and varicose veins and diabatic foot. Such symptoms may indicate conditions like peripheral artery disease (PAD) or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). These symptoms may vary from person to person, some people might experience more than one symptom together. Through proper diagnosis of the vascular system, including blood vessels, arteries, veins and lymphatic circulation, we treat a number of diseases such as congenital heart disease.
“Individuals with a family history of vascular disease or risk factors like smoking, diabetes, or high blood pressure should consider consulting a vascular surgeon for evaluation and preventive care. Early detection and treatment are crucial in preventing serious complications.” Dr Sharma added.
The launch of this specialized OPD aims to eliminate the need for nearby residents to travel to metro cities for primary consultations, second opinions, and expert medical advice. It enhances patient convenience by enabling easy follow-ups locally while ensuring access to world-class healthcare, she said.
