Haryana Crime: In a shocking turn of events, three separate murders occurred within 24 hours in Sonipat district, sending waves of fear and tension across the region. The brutal killings of two young men and one young woman took place in Gohana, Sisana, and Kharkhoda areas. Police investigations are underway in all three cases.
Man Murdered After Argument at Food Stall
In Gohana, a dispute broke out at a burger and chowmein stall on Meham Road, which quickly turned violent. The attackers assaulted Amit, a resident of Sector-7, with a piece of glass, causing excessive bleeding. He was rushed to Bhagat Phool Singh Government Women’s Medical College hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Amit, who worked a private job, had gone swimming with friends in Khanpur Kalan on Sunday evening. Finding the pool there inadequately filled, they returned. Around 9:30 PM, Amit informed his family that he would be home soon. Later, he and his friends went to the food stall on Meham Road where the argument took place.
During the altercation, Amit was fatally attacked with glass shards. He was first taken to Gohana Civil Hospital and then referred to the Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College, where he died. The city police have started their investigation.
Brutal Murder of Farmer While Returning from Field
In the village of Sisana, 30-year-old Ashok was gruesomely murdered with sharp-edged weapons and a firearm on Sunday night. According to the family, this was the result of a premeditated conspiracy involving Amit from Guhna and Baljeet, Deepak, Ishu, Nishu, and two to three others from Sisana.
Ashok’s elder brother Rinku filed a complaint at Kharkhoda police station, stating that Ashok, who was unmarried, ran a small grocery store near his farmland. On June 7, Amit and Baljeet assaulted Ashok in his shop over a land ownership dispute. Though the police emergency number 112 was called, no response was received.
A second altercation occurred on June 8, and Ashok filed a medical report and complaint on June 9. Both parties reached a compromise on June 11 at the police station. However, after leaving the station, the accused allegedly threatened to kill Ashok in public.
On June 15, when Ashok did not return home by 9:30 PM, his family went to search for him. Just 100 meters down the brick kiln path, they found that attackers had knocked Ashok off his scooter and stabbed him repeatedly with knives and sharp weapons. He died on the spot. The attackers fled on motorcycles and a tractor.
Police arrived, sent the body for post-mortem, and initiated an investigation. Rinku has demanded the immediate arrest and strict punishment of the accused. The station in-charge stated that raids are underway and arrests will be made soon.
