Rs 88 lakh H-1B visa fee will hurt Indian professionals and India’s economy: Deepender Hooda

MP Deepender Hooda attended several events here on Sunday. Interacting with people, he stated that the BJP government is failing to provide employment to the youth in the country.
Hooda said, “The dreams of educated youth of foreign employment have now been shattered by the BJP government’s flawed policies.”
Expressing deep concern over US President Trump’s decision to increase the H- 1B visa application fee from $1,000 to $100,000 ( 8.8 million Indian rupees ), he stated that this will not only harm Indian youth but will also adversely impact India’s economic interests. Trump’s blow to will reduce job opportunities for Indians there to a minimum, Deepender Hooda stated and added that the BJP government’s flawed policies will lead to job losses not only at home but also abroad. Deepender Hooda called the BJP government’s silence “extremely unfortunate” and urged the government to immediately clarify its position, engage in diplomatic negotiations to protect the interests of Indian workers and companies, and exert pressure on the US administration. MLA Shakuntala Khatak was also present during the meeting.
Hooda said that the US government is hurting India’s economic interests one after another. But the Prime Minister, who calls the US President his close friend, is completely silent.
Earlier, Haryana’s industries were hit by a heavy US tariff of 50 percent. The US tariff attack in Haryana has led to the closure of export-based industries worth thousands of crores and has threatened the employment of lakhs of workers associated with them.
Deepender Hooda said that due to the government’s failed foreign trade policy and diplomatic failure, an industrial state like Haryana is facing huge losses. Deepender Hooda stated that the BJP government’s failed foreign policy and its implementation are clearly manifesting serious flaws. The central government’s neglectful silence and lackluster action have jeopardized the future of the youth. Millions of youth in Haryana alone are grappling with unemployment. Government statistics and reports from various organizations reveal that Haryana faces the highest unemployment rate in the country. The lack of filling vacant positions in government departments and the ongoing recruitment scams are leaving millions of youth frustrated and disheartened. The government’s lackadaisical approach is jeopardizing the future of millions of youth seeking employment. Hooda stated that unemployment in Haryana is so rampant that young people were selling all their property and taking huge loans to travel abroad in the hope of securing a better future.
