Chandigarh, April 3
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, said that communication is the key to resolving any problem. Meaningful discussions lead to conclusions and decisions. Vidhan Sabha is an important platform for policy-making for the people of the state. It is here that budgets for various schemes are passed, and every penny spent is accounted for by the Vidhan Sabha committees. These committees also advise the government to avoid unnecessary expenses.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said this while addressing participants at the closing ceremony of the two-day Haryana Yuva Samvad, 2025, organised by the Rajdhani Yuva Sansad at the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.
He said that the Vidhan Sabha is not just an ordinary platform; it is a space where representatives, elected by the people, raise issues and work towards solutions. India is not only the world’s largest democracy but also one of the oldest. Among the four pillars of the democracy Legislature, Executive, Judiciary and the Media, the legislature holds significant importance as it makes laws and amends them from time to time, he added.
Sh. Kalyan said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has taken the initiative to develop a “One Nation, One Registration” digital platform to promote IT based on artificial intelligence. This platform will enable anyone to access information on speeches made by MLA and MP.
He said that representatives from Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies are the leaders of the future, and among the youth present today, some could emerge as good leaders in the times to come. He appreciated that over 60 youth participated in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha after being selected through three phases. They not only shared their views but also presented their thoughts on how to shape society and what vision they hold as young individuals.
